About
Welcome to the Inter-institutional Collaborative Activities Project for Teaching Development and Language Enhancement project, centred on “Extending the Online Standards and Enhancing Professional Practices for Virtual Teaching and Learning.” This project seeks to create an online resource toolkit, deliver professional development workshops that integrate the toolkit with pedagogically -sound instructional design strategies and pedagogical best practices and host various dissemination events, culminating in a symposium to highlight the project’s key achievements and impact and showcase the developed toolkit.

Inter-institutional Partners
The project involves four participating universities, with Lingnan University (LU) leading the initiative, in partnership with funding from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and in-kind support from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU).
Project Benefits

Enhanced Quality in Teaching and Learning - enhances the quality of teaching and learning across Hong Kong universities by developing an online resource toolkit that enables teaching staff to effectively leverage a range of tools, thereby enhancing their approaches to instructional design and delivery.

Alignment of Best Practices - leveraging pedagogical innovations, such as AI-enhanced tools, aligning with best practices and institutional goals relevant to Hong Kong's higher education landscape.

Promotion of Inter-Institutional Collaboration - promotes inter-institutional collaboration among UGC institutions, leading to innovative, AI-enhanced resources that support improvements in teaching and learning through diverse instructional and delivery methods.

Project Outcomes

Develop an easily accessible online resource toolkit resource, which incorporates instructional design and delivery into the content creation process, making it available to teaching staff across the eight Hong Kong UGC-funded higher education institutions.

Develop and deliver faculty development workshops that promote pedagogically driven instructional design strategies and highlight best practices by effectively integrating the toolkit.

Organise and host a symposium to highlights the project’s key demonstrate and demonstrate the innovative features of the developed toolkit, showcasing its practical applications and impact on pedagogical best practices.
