About
The Inter-institutional Collaborative Activities for Teaching Development and Language Enhancement (IICA-TDLE) project, led by Lingnan University, aims to transform teaching and learning through the innovative application of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI). Building on the success of the previous two IICA-TDLE projects, this project seeks to enhance the IDEAL-Gen.AI (Instructional Design Enhanced Active Learning through Generative Artificial Intelligence) platform, aligning with evolving pedagogical needs and the integration of GenAI. In alignment with the TDLE themes of addressing educational challenges and promoting inter-institutional collaboration, this project fosters a dynamic ecosystem for knowledge exchange and sharing of best practices, to position Hong Kong as a global leader in AI-enhanced education.
Our
Inter-institutional Partners
A consortium of five participating universities led by Lingnan University (LU), with collaboration and funding from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), City University of Hong Kong (CityU) and in-kind support from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) will work together to advance the IDEAL-Gen.AI platform enhancement project.
Project Benefits
Enhanced New Features - integrate new features combined with multilingual support to deliver a more intuitive and personalised platform, enabling the seamless creation of AI-generated educational materials into teaching practices.
Professional Development - conduct faculty development activities through workshops and inter-institutional events to share best practices in AI-enhanced education and showcasing the platform’s enhanced features across UGC-funded universities and beyond.
Advancing AI-Enhanced Education - demonstrate the platform’s features and showcase Hong Kong as a leader in AI-enhanced education, by promoting innovative teaching practices through inter-institutional collaborations.
Project Deliverables
IDEAL-Gen.AI Platform Enhancement - develop and integrate new features.
Dissemination of Best Practices - promote adoption and knowledge exchange through ongoing faculty development across UGC-funded universities, including international conferences and awards to showcase the platform.
HKUST-Hosted Symposium - showcase project outcomes, case studies, best practice sharing and innovations in GenAI education.
